Just days after the “JAWS™” Scratchers game began making a splash with players across the state, one lucky Missouri Lottery player uncovered the first of three $100,000 top prizes.
The winning ticket was purchased at Royals Liquor, 6404 Gravois Ave. in St. Louis, and the winner later claimed his prize at the Lottery’s St. Louis regional office on June 5.
So far players have won more than $1.8 million in prizes since the $5 “JAWS™” game was released on May 27. Over $6.7 million in prizes remain unclaimed, including two additional $100,000 top prizes and three $20,000 prizes.
In FY24, players in St. Louis County won more than $200.8 million in Missouri Lottery prizes, retailers received more than $19.4 million in commissions and bonuses, and more than $161.2 million in Lottery proceeds went to education programs in the county.
