$2 Million Lotto Ticket Sold in Sturgeon

Apr. 28, 2025

A Missouri Lottery player in Sturgeon has become Boone County’s first Lottery-made millionaire of the year – thanks to a $2 million winning Lotto ticket purchased at Prenger Foods, 105 W. Smith St. The lucky ticket matched all six numbers drawn in Saturday night’s drawing – 2, 6, 8, 10, 16 and 28.

The win marks the second time a large Lottery prize has recently been won in Boone County. Last month, a player won $100,000 on a “$2,000,000 Extreme Cash” Scratchers ticket purchased at a Columbia QuikTrip.

Prizes of more than $600 can be claimed – by appointment only – at any of the Lottery’s four offices, which are located in Jefferson City, St. Louis, Kansas City and Springfield. Draw Games winners have 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prize. In this case, the Lotto winner has until Oct. 23.

Lotto drawings are held on Wednesday and Saturday nights at 8:59 p.m. The jackpot now resets to $1 million for the Wednesday, April 30, drawing.
