A Missouri Lottery player was completely surprised when she learned the “Triple Cash Crossword” ticket she thought to be worth $10,000 actually held one of the game’s $100,000 top prizes.

“I thought I won $10,000!” the winner laughed. “I didn’t know I had won $100,000 until they told me at the Lottery office!”

She had purchased the winning ticket while shopping at Schnucks, 7355 Manchester Road in Maplewood, and had safely tucked it away until she could claim her prize at the St. Louis Lottery office.

Players of the “Triple Cash Crossword” game have won more than $4 million in prizes since the game was released in late February. Over $13 million in prizes are still unclaimed, including four additional top prizes of $100,000 and three $30,000 prizes.

In FY24, players in St. Louis County won more than $200.8 million in Missouri Lottery prizes, retailers received more than $19.4 million in commissions and bonuses, and more than $161.2 million in Lottery proceeds went to education programs in the county.
