A quick stop at State Line Pit Stop, 1738 W. Highway160 in Mindenmines, ended with a fun surprise when a Missouri Lottery player uncovered a $50,000 prize on his “500X” Scratchers ticket.
“I just went into the gas station and picked it out,” the winner said.
Once he scratched it off and discovered his prize, he knew exactly who to tell first.
“I told my friend right away,” he said. “We play Scratchers together sometimes, so it was exciting.”
In total, “500X” players have won over $187.4 million, with $70.1 million remaining in unclaimed prizes in the game – including a top prize of $5 million and 14 additional $50,000 prizes.
Players who purchased tickets in Barton County last fiscal year won more than $1.4 million in total Missouri Lottery prizes. Retailers received more than $141,000 in commissions and bonuses, and education programs in the county received more than $725,000 in appropriated Lottery proceeds.
